None of this is FDA-approved medicine — sermorelin acetate was withdrawn as a branded drug years ago, so everything on this page is compounded by definition — and every seller here says so somewhere on its site, some far more prominently than others.

What injectable sermorelin is, in plain terms
Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino-acid copy of the active fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It does not supply growth hormone. It binds a receptor on your pituitary and asks the gland to release more of your own, which is why its advocates talk about it preserving the natural pulse pattern rather than flooding the system. That mechanism is genuinely established: a year of continuous dosing kept pulsatile release going without the pituitary going deaf to the signal.
What is much less established is what that does for you. The only placebo-controlled trial in adults ran five months in 19 people aged 55 to 71. It found increased skin thickness in both sexes and increased lean body mass in men only, with no change in bone mineral density and no effect on sleep quality in either sex. Every product on this page is compounded, and that word does more work than it looks like it does. The branded sermorelin product was discontinued years ago — for commercial reasons, not safety ones, which is the detail that keeps the ingredient legal to compound. But a compounded drug is not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review it for safety, efficacy or quality before it reaches you. That is true of every seller here and of every seller anywhere else.

- How much do sermorelin injections cost?
- Among the sellers we can currently verify, published month-to-month pricing for an injectable runs from the high double digits to about $250. The spread is wider than the product justifies, and the reason is that almost nobody publishes the dose. A monthly price is not comparable between two sellers until you know how many micrograms it buys, so treat a low headline number at an undisclosed dose as an unknown rather than a bargain.
- Are sermorelin injections FDA-approved?
- No. Sermorelin acetate held two FDA approvals as the brand GEREF, in 1990 and 1997, and both are discontinued. The FDA's own records state the product was not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons, which is why the ingredient can still be compounded. Today it appears in the FDA drug databases only as bulk compounding powder, so everything sold through telehealth is a compounded preparation that the FDA has not reviewed.
- What dose do sellers actually prescribe?
- The only placebo-controlled adult trial dosed 10 micrograms per kilogram nightly. Commercial protocols commonly advertise something in the range of 200 to 300 micrograms a night, which for most adults is well above what was tested. No published dose-ranging trial covers the commercially marketed range. That gap is worth raising with whoever prescribes for you, and a seller that will not state its dose at all has made the question unanswerable.
- Is the injection better value than the tablet?
- It depends entirely on the seller, which is the opposite of what most buyers assume. Sellers that offer both price them independently, and the gap frequently runs $40 to $60 a month in either direction — one seller on our roster charges more for its oral product than for its own injection.
