What it is

PepScribe is an online peptide therapy service based in Johnston, Iowa. It describes itself as a technology platform, not a medical provider. Visits and prescriptions come through Ola Digital Health, an independent telehealth provider with US-licensed clinicians. Medication is compounded by licensed 503A pharmacies in the United States, which PepScribe stresses are not 503B or overseas. Sermorelin comes in one form, a small injection under the skin taken nightly before bed. PepScribe says it is LegitScript-certified.

How it works

You start with a free three-minute online assessment, and no credit card is needed to begin. A US-licensed clinician reviews it, typically within 24 hours, and messages you rather than booking a video call. No in-person visit is needed. The clinician screens for pituitary, thyroid and other hormone conditions. They will not prescribe during pregnancy, active cancer or known pituitary disease. Labs may be ordered before prescribing, and the results guide your dose. If you are prescribed, your dose is compounded and shipped with syringes and step-by-step injection instructions. You can message your clinician between visits. If you are not prescribed, you pay nothing at all. PepScribe does not publish a state list for sermorelin. It says availability depends on where its clinicians are licensed, and the free assessment tells you whether one can prescribe for you before you pay. If you already use PepScribe for another treatment, the sermorelin page lets you add it to your existing visit instead of starting over.

Pricing transparency

PepScribe advertises sermorelin plans from $99 a month, with no membership fee and no charge for the visit. The plan covers the medication, clinician care, syringes and other supplies, and shipping. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, but insurance is not. Treat the $99 as a starting point. PepScribe says prices may vary with the dose your clinician sets. Its pricing page also offers a three-month prepaid plan at up to 20% off, but the sermorelin page shows no three-month figure. And the product details PepScribe publishes alongside the page give a $189 regular monthly price. The page itself never says whether $99 is a discount or how long it lasts. PepScribe says you see the exact plan price before anything is billed, so read that screen carefully. Labs are a smaller question. PepScribe's pricing page says peptide plans do not require lab work, while the sermorelin page says your clinician may order labs before prescribing. If labs are ordered, ask who bills them and what they cost before the draw.

Branded vs compounded

There is no FDA-approved sermorelin on the US market. PepScribe's injection is compounded for you by a licensed 503A pharmacy under your clinician's prescription, and the site states that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved or evaluated. Your clinician sets the nightly dose during the consult, and no strength in milligrams is published. PepScribe says most people judge sleep and recovery over the first one to three months of nightly use. Canceling is simple, with no contract or cancellation fee. The current billing period is not prorated, though you keep any doses already shipped for it.
