Its main business is compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide for weight loss. It also offers branded GLP-1 medications, women's and men's hormone therapy, enclomiphene, NAD+, glutathione and sermorelin. AVARA Rx says it isn't a pharmacy or drug manufacturer itself. Medication is compounded and dispensed by a licensed third-party pharmacy, which its FAQ names as DiRx Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sermorelin is offered as an injection, and the site describes it as a compounded, prescription-only medication that your clinician may prescribe based on your needs. The site says AVARA Rx is LegitScript-certified.

How it works

You start online with a short medical questionnaire, plus a photo ID and a selfie, which AVARA Rx says state law requires. You must be 18 or older. A licensed provider reviews your answers within 24 hours, and in some states a live video visit or secure chat is also needed. You pay at checkout, before that review. If the provider decides you don't qualify, AVARA Rx says it refunds the medication cost, and it refunds the difference if a weaker formulation is prescribed. Payment doesn't guarantee a prescription will be written. The sermorelin page promises one-on-one, doctor-led care every quarter and describes its programs as provider-supported. On its weight-loss programs, AVARA Rx says the provider consult and free, discreet shipping are included and no insurance is needed. Pricing transparency

The sermorelin page shows a single figure, "Starting at $299", with no "per month", term or billing interval attached. The only timing word nearby is the quarterly doctor-visit badge, and that describes how often you see a doctor, not how often you're charged. $299 a month and $299 a quarter would be very different commitments. Billed monthly, a year would cost $3,588. Billed quarterly, it would be $1,196. The monthly renewal notice in its FAQ hints at a monthly cycle, but the sermorelin page doesn't confirm it. Before you pay, ask AVARA Rx how often $299 is billed, how much medication it covers and whether it changes with your dose. Prescription medication can't be returned once it ships, so settle those questions first. You can cancel or change an order by contacting support before it reaches the pharmacy. The lower prices elsewhere on the site, from $179 to $279 a month, are for semaglutide and tirzepatide, not sermorelin.

Branded vs compounded

Sermorelin isn't sold as an FDA-approved drug in the US, so AVARA Rx's sermorelin is compounded by a licensed third-party pharmacy.
