Chia Health review

By Nora Vance · Updated October 2026

Two formats, plan behind the price unclear

Chia Health prescribes sermorelin as a nightly injection or a nasal spray, with the physician choosing the format. Its page advertises "Starting from $179.00/mo" against a struck $249 a month, without saying which plan the lower figure buys.

Our verdict

Chia Health has one of the more polished sermorelin offers online: same-day prescriptions, two formats, batch testing it describes on the page and FSA/HSA eligibility. Its pricing needs a closer look. The lower figure is a "starting from" price, and Chia also sells discounted multi-month plans with strict refund rules, so confirm what you are signing up for.

What it is

Chia Health is a telehealth company, operated by Zerolimit Tech LLC, that covers weight loss, longevity and women's health. Its longevity line includes sermorelin, NAD+, glutathione, GHK-Cu, PT-141 and low-dose naltrexone. Sermorelin is also sold inside two bundles: a GLP-1 plus sermorelin plan and a longevity bundle with NAD+ and glutathione. Prescriptions come from US-licensed physicians. Chia does not name the pharmacy that compounds its sermorelin.

How it works

You take a two-minute health quiz, and a licensed US clinician reviews it, usually within 24 hours. Chia promises same-day prescriptions. Depending on your state and health profile, you may get a prescription directly or need a short phone or video call. You do not pick the format yourself. The physician decides between the injection and the nasal spray after reviewing your answers. Each shipment holds a four-week supply, with refill check-ins and tracking. In the patient portal you can log sleep, energy and recovery, and you can upload lab results for Chia to track more than 40 biomarkers. Uploading labs is optional, not a requirement to start.

Pricing transparency

The product page shows "Starting from $179.00/mo" with $249.00 a month struck through and a "Save 28%" tag. It does not say which plan the $179 belongs to. Chia's refund policy explains why that matters. It sells month-to-month subscriptions and committed plans of three, four or six months, and the committed plans are discounted against the month-to-month rate. If you cancel a committed plan after the first shipment, the refund is what you paid minus the full month-to-month rate for each month received, which can leave little or nothing. Committed plans also auto-renew for the same length unless you cancel at least five days before. Month-to-month plans can be canceled anytime from your dashboard. You get a full refund if a provider finds you ineligible, or if you cancel before your consultation. Refund requests must come within 30 days of payment. Shipping is free, the treatment is FSA and HSA eligible, and Klarna is offered.

Branded vs compounded

Chia's sermorelin is compounded in the United States and is not FDA-approved, which the site's footer states. The injection goes under the skin each night before bed and takes about ten seconds, according to Chia. The nasal spray is also nightly, and Chia's own comparison rates its absorption as moderate, against high for the injection. The page lists four batch tests, for endotoxins, sterility, potency and pH, all marked passed. It does not publish a dose, a vial size or the strength of the spray. Chia is unusually candid about the evidence, saying the human studies on sermorelin are small and older.

Pros and watch-outs

What we like

  • Injection or nasal spray, chosen by the physician
  • Same-day prescriptions after a two-minute quiz
  • Batch testing for sterility, potency, endotoxins and pH
  • FSA and HSA eligible, with Klarna offered
  • Optional lab upload with tracking of 40+ biomarkers
  • Full refund if the provider finds you ineligible

Watch-outs

  • Page does not say which plan the $179 figure buys
  • Committed plans are hard to exit after the first shipment
  • Committed plans auto-renew unless canceled five days ahead
  • No dose, vial size or pharmacy named
  • You cannot choose the format yourself

Best for

A shopper who wants a modern longevity platform with tracking tools, is open to either an injection or a spray, and will read the plan terms before paying.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who wants a single month-to-month price on the page, or who may stop treatment early. Chia's committed plans carry a refund formula that can return little after the first shipment.

The evidence behind what Chia Health prescribes

We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.

  • Does sermorelin work? What the trials actually measured

Sermorelin reliably makes your pituitary release growth hormone. Beyond that the evidence is one placebo-controlled trial in 19 adults from 1997 — lean body mass up in men only, nothing in women, and no effect on sleep in either.

  • Is Sermorelin FDA-Approved? The Real Answer

Sermorelin was FDA-approved once, under a different name, and that approval is gone. What is sold today is compounded — which is legal, but not the same thing as approved.

  • What a 3-Month Sermorelin Prepay Actually Costs You

The monthly-equivalent rate on a sermorelin quarterly plan isn’t the real question. The real question is what you lose if you stop in month two — using real seller terms, not estimates.

  • Sermorelin Without Insurance: HSA and FSA

Sermorelin is sold cash-pay, without insurance billing. How HSA and FSA eligibility generally works, which sellers say they accept the cards, and how it interacts with real prices.

Frequently asked

How much does sermorelin cost at Chia Health?
The product page reads "Starting from $179.00/mo" with $249.00 a month struck through. Chia sells both month-to-month and discounted multi-month plans, and the page does not say which plan the $179 belongs to. Ask for the month-to-month rate before you pay.
Does Chia Health offer sermorelin nasal spray?
Yes. Chia offers sermorelin as a nightly injection or a nasal spray. You do not choose between them yourself: the physician picks the format after reviewing your quiz answers.
Can I cancel a Chia Health sermorelin plan?
A month-to-month plan can be canceled anytime before the next billing date. A committed plan stops shipping when you cancel, but the refund is your payment minus the full monthly rate for each month already shipped.
Do I need labs to start sermorelin at Chia Health?
No. Lab upload is optional. If you have results, you can upload them and Chia will track more than 40 biomarkers for your physician to review.
Can I pay for Chia Health sermorelin with an HSA?
Chia says its treatment is FSA and HSA eligible. It also offers Klarna, which splits a payment into installments.
How soon does Chia Health say sermorelin works?
Chia's format comparison lists sleep effects in two to four weeks, for both the injection and the spray. It describes the changes as gradual and usually starting with sleep, and you can log them in the patient portal. Many patients look for change over several weeks.
