What it is

Oak is an online clinic that prescribes weight-loss treatment, ED treatment and longevity care, delivered to your door. Sermorelin sits in its longevity line, next to NAD+ and, newly, tesamorelin, another growth-hormone-releasing peptide aimed at body composition. Oak describes sermorelin as a peptide that signals your body to release more of its own growth hormone, which declines with age. It says sermorelin may support sleep quality, recovery and lean muscle, and is usually the starting point for sleep and recovery. It is an injection under the skin, usually taken nightly as prescribed. Oak's site carries a LegitScript certified badge.

How it works

Oak's process has three steps. You complete an online visit by answering a few questions. A licensed provider reviews your answers and you can chat with them. If you are prescribed, the medication arrives in discreet packaging. Every plan includes the provider review, ongoing messaging support and free shipping. Oak says treatments can sometimes be combined over time, at the provider's discretion. Its own first-year outline has you check in with the care team around month one, when the dose can be fine-tuned, and a provider progress review around month three. Oak lists possible side effects as injection-site reactions, flushing, headache and nausea. Oak does not publish a dose or a vial strength for sermorelin. You find those out only after the assessment.

Pricing transparency

Oak's longevity page lists the sermorelin starting price as "after your assessment". It does price NAD+ on the same page, at $175 a month against a regular $199, so it is fair to ask for the same clarity on sermorelin. Elsewhere Oak quotes different figures. Its page for employers lists its longevity peptides, sermorelin included, from $167 a month. Its checkout questionnaire has listed $200 for a four-week supply. Four-week supplies mean thirteen refills a year, not twelve. Oak's checkout FAQ adds the most important point. It says the final charge depends on the dose the doctor prescribes, and that each step up in dose is typically $50 to $75 more. It also says you are charged automatically after approval and agree to pay the final price set at prescribing. So ask for the exact monthly charge at your dose before you approve.

Branded vs compounded

There is no FDA-approved sermorelin on the US market, so Oak's sermorelin is compounded to order by a pharmacy and needs a prescription. The finished product is not reviewed by the FDA. Oak ships it as a vial with supplies. Because the price rises with the dose, two people on the same program can pay different amounts. Ask the provider for the vial strength, your starting dose and whether the dose is likely to rise, since each increase adds to the bill. Oak's longevity page does not mention lab work for sermorelin, so ask whether the provider will want bloodwork first and whether that costs extra.
