What it is

Sunlight sells sermorelin as a single injection format; no oral or nasal option is offered. What ships is a compounded preparation, not an FDA-approved drug — sermorelin's only branded version, Geref, was discontinued as a business decision, not a safety finding, and nothing has replaced it since.

How it works

Sunlight's help center describes the route in its own words: "Sermorelin is a subcutaneous injection you give yourself at home. It ships from a licensed compounding pharmacy after a clinician reviews your eligibility. The injection is typically given in the evening." A separate clinical article on Sunlight's own site describes a gated path the priced product page itself does not mention: "You need baseline labs (including IGF-1) and a clinician review before starting. There is no quiz-only path." That same article states "Most Sunlight patients take sermorelin alongside a compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide program. It is also available on its own after a clinician review."

Pricing transparency

Sunlight's product page reads "In stock now. Starting at $159," and its own comparison table repeats the figure as "Monthly cost — Starting at $159/mo" set against "$1,000-$3,000+/mo at clinics." The "Starting at" wording is not about dose: the same block states "Same price for every dose. No hidden Fees," alongside "No Monthly Membership" and "Cancel Anytime." That product page carries no entry in Sunlight's own sitemap.xml, which lists seven sermorelin help-center pages and one clinical article but not the priced page itself, even though the page returns a normal 200 response when visited directly. A sitewide banner advertising "Summer Promo! As low as $88 + Fast, Free Shipping" is Sunlight's compounded semaglutide rate and is unrelated to the sermorelin price.

No FDA-approved sermorelin product exists on the US market. Sunlight's injection is a compounded preparation, made to order by a licensed compounding pharmacy rather than dispensed as an FDA-reviewed finished drug, and it requires a clinician's review before starting.

  Sermorelin was FDA-approved once, under a different name, and that approval is gone. What is sold today is compounded — which is legal, but not the same thing as approved.

  Sermorelin reliably makes your pituitary release growth hormone. Beyond that the evidence is one placebo-controlled trial in 19 adults from 1997 — lean body mass up in men only, nothing in women, and no effect on sleep in either.
