What it is

Amble Health is an online clinic offering weight-loss, anti-aging and skin treatments, plus medical kits. Sermorelin sits in its anti-aging line as a single product, a daily injection you give yourself under the skin. The same line also carries NAD+, glutathione and lipotropic shots, so it can sit alongside other care you already get there. There's no tablet or nasal version. You need a prescription from one of Amble's licensed providers. The medication is dispensed by state-licensed US pharmacies, which Amble says may be traditional compounding pharmacies or FDA-registered outsourcing facilities.

How it works

You start with a free online assessment covering your health history, lifestyle and goals. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether sermorelin is right for you. In most states that review is all you need. In New Mexico, Kansas, West Virginia, Louisiana and Mississippi, a short video or audio visit is required. If you're prescribed, the medication is cold-shipped to your door at no charge. Plans include secure messaging at any hour, scheduled check-ins with your physician and ongoing clinical monitoring. Your provider can also adjust your dose on request. Amble's directions are to inject once a day, preferably in the evening, into the fat of the abdomen.

Pricing transparency

Amble lists three plan lengths. One month costs $159, a three-month plan is $149 a month, and a six-month plan is $135 a month. Two promises stand out. Amble says the price is the same at every dose, so a dose increase won't raise your bill. It also says there are no hidden fees, with medication, supplies and shipping all included. Insurance isn't needed. HSA and FSA cards are accepted on three-month and longer plans, and Amble provides itemized receipts if you need to claim. The page shows the longer plans as monthly rates. Ask whether a three- or six-month plan is charged up front before choosing one, and how canceling partway through is handled. The gap between plans is modest. Six months at $135 saves $24 a month over the monthly rate, or $144 across the half year.

Branded vs compounded

Sermorelin isn't sold as an FDA-approved drug in the US, so Amble's injection is compounded, and the FDA doesn't evaluate compounded products for safety, effectiveness or quality. Amble says so on the product page. It doesn't publish the vial size, strength or dose. That means you can't work out the cost per milligram ahead of time, even though the flat pricing protects you if your dose goes up. Side effects Amble lists include redness at the injection site, headaches, flushing, dizziness and short-term sleep changes. Some people also report more hunger or vivid dreams. Rarer effects are nausea, water retention and tingling, and Amble says most side effects ease as your body adjusts. Tell the provider about every medication you take, since Amble's eligibility check covers your current medications. On timing, Amble is careful. It says some members notice changes in the first few weeks, while others see gradual benefits over a longer stretch. How long you stay on it depends on your goals and your provider's advice.
