Ivy Rx is an online anti-aging and weight-loss service that says it has more than 200,000 members. Sermorelin is sold as an injection you give yourself under the skin, usually at night. There is no oral or nasal version. The medication is made in a state-licensed pharmacy, and Ivy Rx says it is independently tested in FDA- and DEA-registered labs. Insurance is not needed, and Ivy Rx says many patients pay with HSA or FSA funds, using an itemized invoice it provides. Its About page lists a physician advisory board that includes a board-certified hematologist and two oncologists. Ivy Rx also says part of each purchase goes to nonprofits that improve health care access for underserved communities.
How it works
You complete an online questionnaire about your health, lifestyle and goals, which takes about five minutes. A clinician reviews it the same day, and approval comes by email. Lab work is not required to start. If approved, the prescription is filled and shipped free in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Keep the vials in the refrigerator, between 36 and 46 °F. Ivy Rx generally recommends a first course of six months, with check-ins every quarter. Support is available by live chat, a free mobile app and email, and Ivy Rx says it answers seven days a week. Injections go in at night, to line up with the body's natural growth hormone peak. If you miss a dose, Ivy Rx says to skip it and carry on the next night rather than doubling up.
Pricing transparency
Ivy Rx's cost guide lists three plans, each paid in full up front. One month costs $225. Three months cost $585, or $195 a month. Six months cost $1,050, or $175 a month. Compared with buying one month at a time, the three-month plan saves $90 and the six-month plan saves $300. Every plan includes the provider evaluation, the medication if prescribed, a home injection kit and free cold shipping, with no separate membership fee. Ivy Rx also says the price stays the same at every dose. The product page itself now shows only "From $179 (use varies)" and an intake button, a figure the cost guide does not explain. Expect $225 if you buy a single month, and confirm the total before you pay. Ivy Rx's refund policy says it cannot accept returns because of the nature of its products. It invites unhappy customers to contact support to work out a solution, but promises nothing specific. That matters most on the six-month plan, where $1,050 is paid on day one.
Branded vs compounded
There is no FDA-approved sermorelin on the US market. Ivy Rx notes that the brand Geref was discontinued years ago, so its sermorelin is compounded. Ivy Rx says each batch passes sterility, endotoxin and pH tests, and that potency is checked every three to six months to stay within 10 percent of target strength. The pages do not list a vial strength or how much medication a month's supply holds. Ivy Rx says benefits build gradually over two to three months. The most common side effect it lists is mild redness or swelling where you inject. Its FAQ describes the typical candidate as an adult over 25 with signs of low growth hormone, such as fatigue and slow recovery. It rules out people with active cancer, uncontrolled diabetes or severe sleep apnea. The same FAQ mentions low IGF-1 on lab testing as part of the picture. Since Ivy Rx does not require labs, consider getting an IGF-1 level from your own doctor first.
