AVArx review
By Nora Vance · Updated October 2026
Shot or troche, price hidden
AVArx, a California telehealth platform, prescribes compounded sermorelin as an injection or a dissolving troche, but neither sermorelin page shows a price before you start the provider evaluation.
Our verdict
AVArx is worth a look if you want the choice between sermorelin injections and an under-the-tongue troche from one online service, with no membership. It is hard to judge on value. Neither sermorelin page shows a price, a dose or a plan, so you learn the cost only after starting the evaluation. The flexible cancellation policy makes that less risky, but compare it against sellers that publish a monthly rate.

What it is
AVArx is a telehealth platform run by AVArx LLC in Glendale, California. It is mainly a GLP-1 weight-loss service, with a smaller wellness line covering sermorelin, sermorelin troches, NAD+ injections, NAD+ nasal spray and glutathione. AVArx is clear that it is not a pharmacy or a medical practice. Licensed providers affiliated with Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC handle the care, and independent licensed U.S. pharmacies fill prescriptions. One naming note: AVArx is a different company from the similarly named AVARA Rx, and the site says it has no tie to similarly named businesses.
How it works
You start with what AVArx calls a five-minute medical questionnaire about your goals, history and lifestyle. A licensed provider reviews your health history, medicines and goals and decides whether sermorelin is appropriate. Most care is handled online without a live call. In states that require a real-time visit, AVArx arranges an audio or video call before prescribing. Its list covers Arkansas, Idaho, Mississippi, Virginia and DC for audio, and Kansas, New Mexico, New York, South Dakota, Vermont and Wisconsin for video. If approved, the pharmacy ships your order, and AVArx says most first shipments arrive three to five business days after approval. Expedited shipping is free. Its shipping policy says pharmacies usually process an order within one to three business days, and temperature-sensitive medicine travels in insulated cold-chain packaging. Refrigerate it as directed as soon as it arrives. If a package is damaged, lost or wrong, contact AVArx within seven days of delivery for a replacement. Afterward you can message your provider anytime, with dose adjustments and refills handled through your dashboard.
Pricing transparency
This is the weak spot. Neither the sermorelin injection page nor the troche page carries a dollar figure; both end at "Start provider evaluation." AVArx's homepage promises no insurance billing, no membership and no hidden fees, and says you can review your plan total before checkout. That helps, but it still means you invest time in the questionnaire before seeing a price. Billing terms are friendly once you are in. AVArx says you can pause, skip or cancel from your dashboard at any time, with no calls and no fees. Recurring plans renew until you cancel. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and AVArx provides receipts for reimbursement. Ask whether the injection and the troche are priced differently, since the site does not say. Know the refund limits too. Once the pharmacy dispenses and ships your medication, it cannot be canceled, returned or refunded, opened or not. AVArx also says consultation fees are generally non-refundable once a provider has reviewed your information.
Branded vs compounded
AVArx offers sermorelin two ways. The injection page says sermorelin is typically given as a subcutaneous injection, and your provider explains how and when to use it. The troche page describes an oral troche, designed to dissolve in the mouth, that AVArx positions as an oral alternative to injections. Both are prescriptions filled by licensed pharmacies, and both require provider approval. AVArx does not publish a dose, strength, schedule or pharmacy name for either form. The provider and the dispensing pharmacy supply directions after prescribing. The safety notes are brief: tell your provider about all medicines and supplements, any conditions, and whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy.

- Choice of injection or under-the-tongue troche
- No membership fee
- Pause, skip or cancel from your dashboard with no fees
- Free expedited shipping; first order in about 3–5 business days
- Message your provider anytime
- HSA and FSA accepted, with receipts
Watch-outs
- No sermorelin price on either page

- Mainly a weight-loss service; sermorelin is a side line
Best for
Shoppers who want to choose between injections and a troche, and who value a no-membership plan they can pause or cancel from a dashboard.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who wants to compare prices before filling out a questionnaire, or who wants a published dose and a named pharmacy. Shoppers looking for a peptide-focused clinic may prefer a more specialized seller.
The evidence behind what AVArx prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- Does sermorelin work? What the trials actually measured
Sermorelin reliably makes your pituitary release growth hormone. Beyond that the evidence is one placebo-controlled trial in 19 adults from 1997 — lean body mass up in men only, nothing in women, and no effect on sleep in either.
- Is Sermorelin FDA-Approved? The Real Answer
Sermorelin was FDA-approved once, under a different name, and that approval is gone. What is sold today is compounded — which is legal, but not the same thing as approved.

Frequently asked
- How much does sermorelin cost at AVArx?
- AVArx does not show a sermorelin price on its injection or troche pages. It says you can review your plan total before checkout, so you see the cost after the questionnaire but before you pay. There is no membership fee.
- Does AVArx sell sermorelin troches?
- Yes. Alongside the injection, AVArx offers sermorelin troches that dissolve in the mouth, which it presents as an oral alternative to injections. Your provider decides which form fits.
- Will I need a video call with AVArx?
- Only if your state requires one. AVArx arranges a real-time audio or video visit before prescribing in states such as New York, Kansas, Wisconsin and Virginia. Elsewhere, care can be handled online.
- Can I cancel AVArx anytime?
- Yes. AVArx says you can pause, skip or cancel from your dashboard at any time, without calling and without fees.
- Can I get a refund on an AVArx sermorelin order?

- Is AVArx the same as AVARA Rx?
- No. They are separate companies with different websites, and AVArx says it is not affiliated with similarly named businesses.
