Pause Rx review
By Nora Vance · Updated October 2026
All-in price, two forms
Pause Rx sells sermorelin as a nightly injection from $349 a month or as a dissolving troche from $249 a month. The price includes the provider review, supplies and shipping, with no membership.
Our verdict
Pause Rx is clear about what a month includes, and it names both its pharmacy and its doctor network. It is not cheap, the prices are starting points, and orders are final once placed.

What it is
Pause Rx is an online health platform covering weight loss, hormones, sexual health, skin and recovery. It describes itself as a patient management platform that works with independent physician networks, not as a clinic or pharmacy. Its provider network is Beluga Health, and its FAQ names Rush Pharmacy as the pharmacy it works with. Sermorelin comes in two forms, each on its own page. One is a subcutaneous injection. The other is a troche that dissolves under the tongue or in the cheek, for people who want to avoid needles.
How it works
You start with what Pause Rx calls a 60-second intake. A licensed provider then reviews your history, usually within 24 hours. In some states a short video visit or secure chat is needed to finish. If sermorelin fits, the plan ships from a licensed pharmacy with instructions, and most orders leave within 48 hours. The provider checks in during the first weeks and adjusts the dose if needed. Refills, rechecks and labs follow when the provider asks for them. Pause Rx says it serves patients nationwide, but sermorelin is not available in California. Before treatment it asks for a photo ID and a selfie, which it says state law requires, and it serves adults 18 and over. Orders ship by standard or expedited delivery, depending on your choice and your area. Delivery is no-contact, so no signature is needed. Pause Rx describes sermorelin as a nightly dose, often before bed, as your provider directs.
Pricing transparency
The injection starts at $349 a month and the troche at $249 a month. Pause Rx says each price covers the provider review, the medication, supplies and discreet shipping, and that there is no membership fee. Both are "from" prices, so a higher dose may cost more. You are billed when your medication ships, and if the provider decides treatment is not appropriate, you are not charged for it. The plan itself can be paused: you can skip a month or cancel anytime. An individual order is different. Once you submit it, it starts processing and cannot be changed, canceled or returned. Pause Rx does not take insurance. Refills are not automatic. Each month you get a renewal notice, the provider reviews your information again, and you are charged only when you choose to pay. If the starting prices hold, a year costs $4,188 on the injection or $2,988 on the troche.
Branded vs compounded
No FDA-approved sermorelin is sold in the US, so both Pause Rx products are compounded. Its disclaimer says they are prepared in a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy, are not FDA-approved, and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. Neither page gives a dose or strength, so you cannot tell how much sermorelin either price buys. The troche costs $100 less a month, but the published human research on sermorelin used injections, and Pause Rx leaves the choice of form to your provider.

Best for
Shoppers who want one all-in monthly price with no membership, a choice between an injection and a troche, and a seller that names its pharmacy.
Who should look elsewhere
Budget shoppers and California residents. The injection starts well above many online sellers, and sermorelin is not offered in California.
The evidence behind what Pause Rx prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- Does sermorelin work? What the trials actually measured
Sermorelin reliably makes your pituitary release growth hormone. Beyond that the evidence is one placebo-controlled trial in 19 adults from 1997 — lean body mass up in men only, nothing in women, and no effect on sleep in either.
- Is Sermorelin FDA-Approved? The Real Answer
Sermorelin was FDA-approved once, under a different name, and that approval is gone. What is sold today is compounded — which is legal, but not the same thing as approved.

Frequently asked
- How much is sermorelin at Pause Rx?
- The injection starts at $349 a month and the troche at $249 a month. Pause Rx says each price includes the provider review, medication, supplies and shipping, with no membership fee.
- Can I cancel Pause Rx sermorelin?
- You can skip a month or cancel the plan anytime. An order you have already placed is different. It begins processing right away and cannot be changed or canceled, and medication cannot be returned.
- Is the Pause Rx troche as good as the injection?
- Pause Rx calls the troche the same care in a different form and lets the provider help you choose. It costs $100 a month less. Most published sermorelin research used injections, so ask the provider which suits your goals.
- Which pharmacy fills Pause Rx sermorelin?
- Pause Rx names Rush Pharmacy in its FAQ, and its disclaimer says compounded medications come from a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. Its provider network is Beluga Health.
- When does Pause Rx charge my card?
- When your medication ships, based on the plan you chose. If the provider decides sermorelin is not appropriate for you, you are not charged for treatment.
- Do I need blood work to start sermorelin with Pause Rx?
- Pause Rx does not list labs as a step before your first order. It says refills, rechecks and labs come later, when your provider asks for them. The sermorelin pages do not say what those labs cost, so ask before you agree to them.
- Does Pause Rx ship sermorelin to California?
- No. Both sermorelin pages say the treatment is not available in California at this time. Pause Rx says it otherwise serves patients nationwide and suggests contacting support to confirm your area.
- Will Pause Rx charge me automatically every month?
- No. Its help center says your monthly prescription is not automatically debited. You get a renewal notice each month, the provider reviews whether you can continue, and you are charged only when you process the payment.
- Who should not take sermorelin from Pause Rx?
- Pause Rx says it may not be right if you are pregnant or nursing, have active cancer, are allergic to any ingredient, or are under 18. The side effects it lists are injection-site redness or soreness, flushing, headache and nausea. Your provider reviews your full history before prescribing.
