Sermorelin GHK-Cu: What the Combination Tablet Contains

Short answer

Sermorelin GHK products combine sermorelin with GHK-Cu, a copper peptide studied mainly on skin. Everlife's version is a dissolving tablet listing 1,000 mcg sermorelin, 2 mg GHK and 50 mg L-citrulline. Neither oral sermorelin nor the combination has a published human trial, and GHK-Cu's human trials have tested creams on the skin.

Sermorelin GHK is a product, not a molecule: sermorelin compounded with a copper peptide, sold as a tablet under the tongue. Here is what it contains, what each part has been tested for, what it costs, and where GHK-Cu stands with FDA.

“Sermorelin GHK” is not a separate molecule. It is a product: sermorelin compounded together with GHK-Cu, a small copper peptide best known from skin-care research, usually as a tablet that dissolves under the tongue. The best-known version is sold by Everlife, a telehealth pharmacy, and most searches for the name are looking for that one.

What is in a sermorelin GHK product?

Everlife’s product page lists three actives per sublingual tablet: 1,000 mcg of sermorelin, 2 mg of GHK and 50 mg of L-citrulline, with a 500 mcg sermorelin strength also offered. A bottle holds 30 tablets. The company’s directions are half to one tablet dissolved under the tongue at bedtime, five to seven nights a week, and the page markets it for lean muscle, recovery, skin and energy. It is sold on prescription after an online consultation, from $148.99 a month as of October 2026. That is a different product from Everlife’s plain sermorelin, covered with its prices in the Everlife review.

L-citrulline is an amino acid; the page credits it with supporting blood flow. The two active peptides are the part with a regulatory and evidence story, so the sections below focus on them.

What does GHK-Cu do, and how good is the evidence?

GHK is a three-amino-acid peptide (glycine, histidine, lysine) that occurs naturally in the body and binds copper. A 2018 review describes it stimulating collagen and elastin production, supporting skin cells and tissue repair, and switching many genes on or off in laboratory data [1]. That review was written by researchers at a skin care company, and most of what it describes comes from cell and animal work.

Controlled human trials are scarce and all of them are topical. In a randomized study of 13 patients after laser skin resurfacing, a GHK-Cu skin-care regimen did not speed the fading of redness and made no objective difference to wrinkles or skin quality, though patients using it rated their skin higher (p = 0.04) [2]. In a randomized trial of 86 patients with venous leg ulcers, a 0.4% copper tripeptide cream did no better than placebo, while a silver sulfadiazine cream did [3]. No published trial has tested GHK-Cu taken by mouth or under the tongue.

Does sermorelin work as a tablet?

Sermorelin’s only adult trial gave it by injection, nightly, to 19 adults aged 55 to 71 [4]. No published human trial has tested a sermorelin tablet, troche or capsule, so how much of a sublingual dose reaches the bloodstream is not known. Sermorelin tablets goes through that gap and what it means for a buyer.

Has the combination been tested?

No. PubMed holds two records that mention sermorelin and GHK together. Both are reviews of peptides used for injuries and sport, and neither reports a study of the two given together [5]. So the claim for a sermorelin GHK tablet rests on separate, indirect evidence: one injected-sermorelin trial, and topical GHK-Cu research. Neither speaks to the tablet. The general pattern of combination products marketed ahead of their evidence is covered in sermorelin stacks, and how to weigh the marketing language itself in sermorelin marketing claims.

What does sermorelin GHK cost compared with sermorelin alone?

At $148.99 a month, the combination costs more than Everlife’s own plain sermorelin tablet, which starts at $95 a month (October 2026). Across the 19 sellers publishing a monthly price for oral sermorelin, the range is $95 to $249, read October 2026. The extra money buys the GHK and the citrulline, not more sermorelin. The oral sermorelin board lists those sellers, and the oral vs. injection price tool shows how each seller prices the two routes.

Is sermorelin GHK safe, and what are the side effects?

There is no safety data for the combination, because there is no study of it. What exists is piecemeal. Sermorelin’s adult trial reported a temporary rise in blood lipids as its only adverse effect, resolved by the end of the study [4], and the broader picture is in sermorelin’s side effects. For GHK-Cu, FDA’s own summary says there are limited data in humans to inform safety considerations, and its stated concern, the risk of immune reactions from aggregated peptide and impurities, is about injected forms [6]. No study has reported on GHK-Cu dissolved under the tongue. Everlife’s own page describes side effects such as headache, fatigue or nausea as rare and short-lived; that is the company’s description, not a trial result.

What should you ask before ordering it?

  • How long does a bottle last? At the label’s range of half to one tablet, five to seven nights a week, 30 tablets last anywhere from just over four weeks to twelve. Ask what a “month” at the quoted price actually ships.
  • Which strength is the starting price? The page offers 500 mcg and 1,000 mcg of sermorelin per tablet under one “starting at” figure. Ask whether the higher strength costs more.
  • Who compounds it, and is there a certificate of analysis for each active? A three-ingredient tablet should come with results for all three, and how to read a certificate of analysis explains what to look for.
  • Would plain sermorelin do the same job? If the goal is the sermorelin, the GHK adds cost without trial evidence behind the tablet form. The questions to ask a prescriber cover the rest of the intake conversation.

Is GHK-Cu legal to compound in 2026?

It depends on the route, and the answer changed twice in a month. As of the FDA Category 2 page updated April 22, 2026, GHK-Cu for injectable routes is listed as nominated but withdrawn [6]. FDA’s 503A nominations list, updated May 14, 2026, records that GHK-Cu was removed from Category 1 on April 22 after its nominations were withdrawn, that one nominator then clarified it had meant to withdraw only the injectable route, and that GHK-Cu for non-injectable routes is back in Category 1, the group still under evaluation. FDA plans to consult its compounding advisory committee on it before the end of February 2027 [7]. L-citrulline is in the same Category 1 list.

A sublingual tablet is a non-injectable route, so the tablet sits on the side of that line still under review, and injectable GHK-Cu sits on the other. Sermorelin itself is unaffected by either list; the full picture is in sermorelin’s legal status in 2026.

Frequently asked

What is sermorelin GHK?
A compounded product that combines sermorelin with GHK-Cu, a naturally occurring copper peptide. Everlife's version is a sublingual tablet listing 1,000 mcg of sermorelin, 2 mg of GHK and 50 mg of L-citrulline, taken at bedtime on prescription.
Does sermorelin GHK work?
It has not been tested. No published human trial has studied the combination, oral or sublingual sermorelin, or GHK-Cu taken by mouth. Sermorelin's one adult trial used injections, and GHK-Cu's human trials tested creams on the skin, with mostly negative objective results.
What is GHK-Cu used for?
Mainly skin care: it is studied for collagen production and wound repair. Laboratory and animal data are extensive, but controlled human trials are few and topical; in one with 86 leg-ulcer patients, a copper tripeptide cream did no better than placebo.
Is GHK-Cu legal to compound?
For non-injectable routes it is back in Category 1 on FDA's 503A nominations list, updated May 14, 2026, meaning it is under evaluation. Injectable GHK-Cu is listed on FDA's Category 2 page as nominated but withdrawn. FDA plans to consult its advisory committee before the end of February 2027.
How much does sermorelin GHK cost?
Everlife lists it from $148.99 a month as of October 2026, more than its own plain sermorelin tablet. The difference pays for the GHK and citrulline rather than additional sermorelin.
